Inside the salon
A blush arch and a wall of bare stone.
The salon sits in an old stone shopfront on Ayr Street, and rather than cover the rubble stone back up it was left exposed, running the length of the room above a white painted dado. Round black mirrors, pendant lights, herringbone timber and a soft blush arch behind the desk do the rest.
It is a treatment room and a waiting room at once. There are toys and books by the front window, because plenty of appointments happen with a little one in tow.
A one stop shop
Britt keeps adding to the menu so that the salon can be, in her words, a one stop shop for Jamestown.

Available for any amount, and they can be bought online at any hour.
Late on Thursday
Open until 8pm on Thursdays, and Saturday mornings until 2pm.

Some IPL areas can be bought as a block of sessions rather than one at a time. A chin is six sessions for $144 or eight for $192, a lip is six for $96, and underarms are six for $216 or eight for $288.

Britt
Owner and senior therapist
Britt is the founder, and the face behind Britt’s Beauty Bar. Born and bred in Melbourne, she moved to Adelaide in 2010. In 2015 she and her husband moved to Jamestown, working on farms and a station, and they now live on a property not far out of town.
She completed her Certificate in Beauty Therapy in 2013. Since then she has kept upskilling her training, and she looks forward to introducing new services to Jamestown so that the salon can be a one stop shop.
Eliza
Beauty therapist
Eliza has been working at Britt’s Beauty Bar for two years. She has completed Year 12 and her Certificate in Beauty Services, finished her traineeship hours, and is a qualified therapist.
A bright and friendly face you will see in the salon every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The nails and the hair braids are hers.
